Anyone planning a solo trip to Jeju? 👋🏻

The recent Jeju disappearance case has caused quite a stir. Lying to the family and falsely reporting that everything is alright is just too much! 😮💨

Let’s also talk about our views on the Jeju police. It is said that a friend went to a shoe store to buy shoes and found that the shoes were rotten. However, because they had been worn, the shoe store refused to refund and could not exchange for another pair. Finally, the police were called. We also helped find local people to communicate with the police. The general conclusion was that "I can't drive it with you." You have to deal with it yourself, and you can only provide it. We suggested complaining to the head office. To be honest, they did not embarrass our friend, but it was obvious that the language barrier made him feel a little biased in favor of the store owner. The friend stressed that there was no commotion throughout the process. It was only after negotiation that the store called the police, and the police left soon after. In the end, it was up to local friends to fight for the store to exchange for another new pair.

Later, I discussed it with local friends. Jeju isn't the capital, and its main focus is tourism. In recent years, due to significant population growth, some areas seem to have some security issues. My husband encountered a strange person before, but I'll talk about it another time due to word count limitations. However, the tourist areas are generally quite developed. If you imagine Jeju as a rural area, it's far from it, and of course, it can't be compared to Seoul's skyscrapers.

In conclusion, it's understandable that travelers are worried. We can't say that Jeju is completely safe. After all, even big cities like Hong Kong and Taipei have dangerous areas. So we can only try to avoid them and be extra careful at night to avoid going to deserted places.

Most of the Jeju people we met were very friendly, and even when there were language barriers, they tried their best to help us. 😊
